Christopher Tin

That this beauty resides in your body – your spirit
that your mind hears all its essential parts
that you write it in some coded form
teach it to diverse people
who gather with all their assorted talents
to perform the lush sounds of your composition
and all I do is tremble from its intensity
as I listen wanting it to last long
though eventually I hear its dissipation
no matter how I resist, it ends.
Then again it does linger in my mind
influencing my body
as it celebrates the newest part of my spirit.
